Therapy & how it can help you.

Counselling and therapy helps you to explore and manage what is happening in your life.

Whether your problem is large or small counselling could help you. Counselling can enable you to move forward. Maybe you have some worries or concerns that you need to think through, or possibly some difficult decisions to make.

Counsellors aim to help you through difficult situations and provide you with an opportunity to move forward.

As a qualified counsellor and member of the BACP I will aim to help you:

  • Become more aware of yourself
  • Express and begin to untangle your feelings
  • Gain a greater insight into how you really think and feel
  • Express your emotions in your own way
  • Work out your own solutions to problems
  • Accept what cannot be changed
  • Feel more in control of your life
  • Increase your confidence, assertion.
  • Control your anxiety
  • Improve your communication skills
  • Become more able to explore options and choices available to you.

Where does counselling take place?

Counselling takes place in a private and confidential setting. Counsellors will not share your business with anyone else, unless there is a recognised danger to yourself or others, at which point appropriate support organisations may be contacted.
